Municipal flags in Monroe County:

At www.rnews.com/Story_2004.cfmID=28919&rnews_story_type=18&category=10 there is confirmation that Monroe County, New York, has a flag. There is a news article about the County Executive presenting a Boy Scout group with county flags. An accompanying photo shows the flag being presented- it is folded up and only a gold portion is visible. Behind the Executive is a flag draped on a staff, which may be a better view of the same flag. A lot of it is still obscured, but it appears to be a vertical tribar with a green/gold seal in the center panel. Another photo of the flag appears at www.monroecounty.gov/org32.asp?orgid=32&storyID= behind the County Legislators, adding to the likelihood that it is the county flag. At that page there are also 2 images of the county seal. Finally, a photo at www.billsmith.org/pic01.htm clearly shows that the flag is green-yellow-green.
