"Livingston County was founded on February 23, 1821 and consisted of twelve townships: eight taken from Ontario and four from Genesee. However, over the years it has acquired new townships and currently exists today as a non-chartered county with 17 towns."
The flag shown on the page is a vertical banner yellow over dark green, with a white-blue-white stripe at the center. On the yellow field is a pair of scales and two feathers; on the green field the county name and seal.
