It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain field quarterly divided of black and yellow (town rank).

The arms are Or a stone pine Vert eradicated trunked Purpure, in base a raven Sable eyed Gules and garnished Argent. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "TENTÚGAL".

Tentúgal Commune is one of the eleven communes of Montemor-o-Velho Municipality (q.v.); it had 2275 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 34,48 km².
