It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field (village rank).

The arms are Or a cross patty Gules voided Argent (Christ Knights' Order cross) and a book Vert leaved Argent and bunch of grapes Purpure leaved Vert all three set per chevron and base barruly wavy of Azure Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "BECO - FERREIRA DO ZÊZERE".
Meaning:
"Beco" means "dead end [street]", but this may not be the actual etym of this toponym and in any case it is not shown on the arms.

Beco Commune is one of the seven communes of Ferreira do Zêzere Municipality (q.v.); it had 1111 inhabitants in 2001 and covers 15,28 km².
