The symbols of Mala Subotica are described in the Town Statutes Statut Općine Mala Subotica, adopted on 23 March 2005 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Međimurske županije, No. 2.

The symbols were designed by Daniel Hampamer, also the designer of the arms of the neighboring municipality of Pribislavec.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, light blue with the coat of arms next to the hoist.
