Presentation of Šandrovac

The Municipality of Šandrovac (2,095 inhabitants in 2001, 851 in the village of Šandrovac) is located some 10 km due east of Bjelovar. It was formed in 1997 by separation from Veliko Trojstvo.

Flag of Šandrovac

The symbols of Šandrovac are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Šandrovac (text), adopted on 16 July 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the Municipality official gazette Općinski glasnik Općine Šandrovac, No. 2. This is repeated in the current Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Šandrovac (text), adopted on 18 March 2013 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 19 March 2013 in Općinski glasnik Općine Šandrovac, No. 32.

The symbols were designed by the Heraldic Art d.o.o. company, from Rijeka, and approved by the Ministry of Administration / Central State Office for Administration before 2006.

The flag (photo, Vecernji list, 20 September 2004) is described in Article 7 of the Statutes as "in proportions 1:2, blue with the historical coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
The Municipality of Šandrovac shall display its flag and coat of arms at the building in which there is the seat, that is, the official headquarters of the Municipality. The flag and arms shall especially be displayed during the state holidays and the Municipality Day.

The coat of arms is described in Article 7 of the Statutes as "a heraldic emblem composed of a shield charged with four red sparks on a white background".
