Presentation of CMF

CMF was based in Nantes. The company was most probably among the several shipping companies that were created in France after the adoption in 1893 of the law sponsoring shipping activity (loi sur les primes à la navigation). Several shipyards in Nantes were then famous for the building of big sailing boats.
