A series consisting of three (so far) action-RPG games for the Xbox and PC,
released between 2004 and 2010. The games’ setting is the fictional
island nation of Albion (the name notwithstanding, not in the actual historic
Britain), closely resembling medieval Europe at different stages of its
history; in the first game it is a wilderness dotted with autonomous
city-states, wheareas by Fable III the whole island is united under an
obnoxious centralist monarchy and experiencing the effects of the Industrial
Revolution. The first two installments were essentially sandbox games, while
the third has more of a political/strategic vibe; its goal is to overthrow the
oppressive king of Albion, then defend the realm from foreign invasion.

The flag of Albion in Fable III is for a change pleasantly simple:
red with a yellow saltire. It is apparently a true national flag, used by both
the regime and the rebels.
