The English version of the website of the shipyard company 'Astilleros de Mallorca S.A.' (of Palma de Mallorca, Spain) features an introductory film offering a rapid overview of activities. Quote from 'The Shipyard' (menu at top):
Established in 1942, Astilleros pioneered the construction of steel vessels on the Island. The yard was originally located in La Pedrera, now the centre of the Paseo Maritimo, moved during the 60's to its present location and adopted its current name, Astilleros de Mallorca.Since its foundation the yard has been responsible for the construction of all types of vessels. At the end of the 70s a large 41m motor yacht was soon followed by the first three mast schooner 'Jessica' (now called 'ADIX') to be constructed in the world since the 20s. The yacht 'ALDONZA' delivered in 1995, marked a turning point with the conversion of Astilleros from building vessels to dedicating its resources to the refit and repair of yachts. At Astilleros, we repair on average 120 yachts per year.

This 1971 company share very properly shows the house flag: dark blue pennant with narrow white fimbriation, in the hoist a white diamond (square) bearing red intertwined initials 'AM.' While checking out the site I did not find, or missed, the flag on the share so I suppose that the current emblem, a two-coloured sea-shell, is the successor – possibly used on a flag?
