Presentation of Anaya

The municipality of Anaya (162 inhabitants in 2010; 1,519 ha) is located in the southwest of Segovia Province, 20 km from Segovia.

Symbols of Anaya

The flag and arms of Anaya are prescribed by a Decree adopted on 11 June 2001 by the Municipal Council, signed on 15 August 2001 by the Mayor, and published on 28 August 2001 in the official gazette of Castile and León, No. 167, p. 12,781 (text).
The symbols are described as follows:

Flag: Rectangular flag, with proportions 2:3, half divided in bottom [partida por mitad en bajo]. Or (yellow) and vert (green) with, all over, the municipal coat of arms of Anaya.
Coat of arms: Quarterly, 1. Gules a three-arched bridge gules, 2. Azure a ploughed field proper ensigned with a hoe argent, 3. Azure a bell argent, 4. Or an ash tree vert eradicated. The shield surmounted with a Royal Spanish crown.
