Coat of Arms

Description of coat of arms:
The shield is divided per pale into golden (= yellow) and red superimposed by a silver (= white) embattled fess bendy.
Meaning:
According to source the colours are those of the bishopric of Hildesheim. The fess bendy was taken from the arms of the /Wohldenberg family/. The colour was however changed from red to silver

The ratio is given as 1:2. It was a yellow over red over white horizontal tricolour.
